Rob has led a broad range of technology and industrial electronics
companies. Before joining PTL, Rob groomed a £40M satellite TV
accessory company for sale to its major customer. Prior to that he
worked in the electronics PCB assembly supply industry for 10 years.
Initially building the EMEA base for US soldering technology company,
Metcal Inc, Rob then merged Metcal with OK International after a
venture-backed acquisition. As part of the global management team he
then helped to achieve a successful exit through sale to Dover Inc. .
Prior to this Rob was part of the start-up team for telecom &
credit card processing operation, 3C Communications (part of the
Swedish Kinnevik group) in the UK. He then went on to be part of the
European management team based in Luxembourg..
Other business development and management roles have included Mars
Electronics and Kent Process Control (part of the ABB group). His
initial industrial training was at EMI Electronics, which included
undergraduate experience working in the Central Research Laboratory
(CRL) department headed by medical X –ray scanner inventor, Godfrey
Hounsfield. |
